haven't listened to clandestine but i love this album, i'll have to check that one out

clandestine is overall more groovy, check out the songs Living Dead, Sinners Bleed, Evilyn and Crawl

nice, is it kinda like Wolverine Blues? despite the un-elite status of that album, i like it a fairly good deal

no its still old-school dm, just some of the songs are more mid-paced. iirc there's even a breakdown on one of the songs lol

His vocals have also improved a lot in Clandestine I reckon. Same with the production slightly.

That would explain a lot...both styles were pretty different.

i just think the songwriting on clandestine is better; most of the songs on this are from Nihilist, so I guess they just improved as song writings between then and the recording of Clandestine or something

is the production better on Clandestine? That was the problem I had with this album last time I listened to it (as with a lot of the older Swedish death releases, like pre-TSD At the Gates).

Anybody else notice that the keyboard section of Left Hand Path is the theme song to Phantasm. All this time, I didn't even realize it. I love this album.

I'll get those very soon. Gonna give this a few more listens in the next day or two then move on to those ones. I used to think this album was so boring, but that's way before I started getting into this kind of death metal.
