honestly, the best cure for writer's block (even though I don't think it exists) is just to write and keep writing, even if it's absolute garbage, you'll eventually push past the garbage, learn from it, and begin to write well, it just can be super discouraging when you try to write and you just aren't feeling it at all, just got to keep pushing, even if it's just a few thoughts/ideas/sentences a day or every other day, etc.

maybe write a couple reviews and don't post them, just let them sit for a little bit and either return back to them or use them as a jumping off point for another review, this may help just get the practice down again

This is a really well written and put together review! Nice colourful language that flows, I like it, especially for the time that it was written!
Even though I have been obsessed with “we are the romans” for a good 15 years, I could never get into this... until last year... all the innovative guitar lines made sense. The endless bag of tricks that Mr Knudson uses are unfairly brilliant! Coupled with Tim Latona’s simple-yet-mind-blowingly-complex drumming makes for a match made in heavy metal heaven. There are so many original ideas on this, that still sound fresh today. And to think this was released in 1997?!?!
When time travel becomes publicly available, i’ll see you at a Botch show one day 🤘😎
