I dont know why it is so damn hard for me to find Burzum albums. This is the only album i have from them and i heard it is their best. I dont know if thats true but i want to find some more Burzum albums. I think that even though Varg is an *** for being racist and murdering a Black Metal icon, he still makes some very great music.
I'm not so sure that he's really a racist. I would describe him more as ethnocentric. He takes pride in his own ancient culture. And nobody really knows the reason for the killing. Varg has a story of it on his site, but who knows what's true. All I know is that I wish that wouldn't have happened because Burzum and Mayhem would probably still be releasing awesome black metal albums.

Nothing this guy did affected me in any way so it doesn't bother me nor was the Euronymous bit a big deal especially since what's happening today.
@Rasputin or Reznor, I just watched a Turisas video and was wondering if that' where you got it from. That video is rad and the song is great.

Yes it can but it's kind of a fine line. He really just thinks his culture and ethnicity is better because he takes pride in it. It's kind of like the "proud to be american" attitude. It doesn't make you racist. I'm sure Varg couldn't really care less about those of other races.
Also, if you guys are talking about the "racial slurs" that he uses in interviews, you must realize that he is using the ancient meanings of the word. The "n word" really was an ancient term for being a lazy, good for nothing person. He doesn't mean it as a racial slur. And yes, I've read and watched many many interviews of him. I still come to this conclusion.

Yeah dude he's a racist. His music isnt racist and thats why i enjoy it. Its also not NSBM like some people think. I only listen to 1 NSBM band and that is Nokturnal Mortum, if you even count them as NSBM. If his music was racist i wouldnt listen. My best friend is black and racist music offends me a little bit.

I listen to a lot of music that goes against my beliefs(me being a christian) but i listen to it for the MUSIC. I could care less about the lyrics.

Thats true, you cant understand what he's saying, but lyrics play a big part in Black Metal for me. Not that his lyrics are racist, but he himself is a rasist. I respect his music, not him.

Eh, I usually try not to be bias towards anyone or anything. I'm not one to get captivated over musicians I like and defend them to the death no matter how dumb of an idea they have. I really just don't think Varg is actively racist. I could be wrong, but from what I've seen on his site, most of his "radical" views deal with religion.
