Yeah it's not even close lmao. I dig The Poison, but these guys take a hot, steamy dump all over BFMV overall.

Yeah, The Poison is quite decent.

BFMV is very mid, even bad with all the rest of their releases.

Listened to Ascendancy again today, still so good. I guess I'll do a discog run soon, the new song sparked my interest again

Damn, he was easily their best drummer. Tough act to follow up on but looking forward to see what the new guy does.

think its an even bigger potential blow to the live shows than it is to their new music. alex is the only drummer they've ever had that didn't suck ass live.

travis literally couldn't play a lot of his own parts live, nick was always 20bpm too fast, and the two guys after couldn't play the majority of the older songs. travis is an og member so he gets a pass, but its hilarious it took them four tries to actually get an adequate drummer after him lmao. hilariously bad talent evaluation by the rest of the band because most of the pre-alex stuff isn't even that difficult lmao.

alex basically played all his own parts on the old songs and made them better. add to that... very few guys are gonna be able to play alex's material as is live, and people are gonna be pissed if they catch the new guy dumbing those songs down (or even worse, they retire most of them).

It was definitely Alex who decided to leave, I am curious as to why though.

From what I've seen they are all on good terms.

Greyson might be on par with Alex but he seems to just be a temp

I know the (lack of) drummer is the hot topic right now, but can we talk about how Shadow of the Abbatoir is the most epic song they've put out? It tops even Shogun in this respect.

Shadow of the Abbatior is great, agreed.

Gave me whiplash at first bc it sounds so much like a song off of Senjutsu, which came out a month before this.
