Def dig when they go mean...so as the names also indicate such, fave tracks are Entire World Encased in Ice and The True King is Death. Its impressive stuff...and besides, both mentioned tracks are also where they open the solos book m/ closer is a very beautiful and remarkable song.

ahah torn between a 3.5 and 4, either way its pretty good stuff. Need to do the 3rd spin, to see how it grows, and put it side to side to similar year releases, such as The Great Old Ones and the new BaN - somehow they hit me the same way in terms of sound...in this one though there are still tracks a little meh, or where I'm kinda doubtful...I don't know if its versatility showdown or unbalanced/ messy stuff. There are some albums that somehow require this type of caution.

I feel you. Glad you mention The Great Old Ones, though - 'Cosmicism' is great. One of my favorite metal releases of the year for sure.
