@Deaf: What the fuck did I just look at like WHAT THE FUCK did I just look at?
Kimm...I...I just don't know what to do with you.

Damn it, Mimsy! I'm shakin' like Whitey over here.
Anyways...not a bad review at all, Kimm. It's well-written, if not a bit one-sided in its focus. That first paragraph before the band member listing isn't really needed, because that kind of info is the whole point of the artist's page; also, usually band members are listed at the beginning only if the band has gone through numerous line-up changes or if you mention the band members throughout the review. Otherwise, it just takes up space.
You write well, absolutely...just gotta get the balance right (you mention quite a few times that the lyrics are unabashedly Christian; some of that might've been cut out a bit). And I think the rating matches the review: the high praise of the lyrics and concept balanced out the disappointment in the musicianship, so average rating is perfectly reasonable. Also, my opinion: if the music is all right, people will be more than willing to listen to overtly Christian lyrics--Flyleaf, mewithoutYou and Copeland are indicative of that.
All in all, good review, pos from me. Waiting for your next one ;-)

As I said, cut down half of the Jesus "fangirl-ism," and this review wouldn't be half bad.

Hey, it fulfilled its purpose, I know now I should never listen to it.

Thanks to anyone who POS'd this.
Banion - I think you kind of forfeit your right to comment on my stuff when you delete all my posts on your list and ignore my shoutbox post when I ask you what I did wrong.
@P...07 - They were SO good live, especially because they didn't play much from this album...it was mostly from their newest album Breaker which is significantly better. They did play Agape and it was fun to yell out the "All your soul all your mind all your strength with all your heart" bit.

Mattie's pretty sick live

He totally is. I loved their show, and he didn't really preach that much...he just said basically that he's seen a lot of his friends falling captive to things like addiction and that he's lost loved ones to suicide, and he knows beyond a shadow of doubt that there's hope in Christ.

Sounds like what Spencer from Underoath does.

When I saw Skillet there wasn't a building left standing for miles

Good first review.
"I personally would rather read the lyrics as poetry than actually listen to the album."
Since you said that, I wonder - why rate it a 3? Sure, lyrics might be amazing or something, but an album is a sum of the whole - both lyrics and music. If one part of it is good, and other really isn't, shouldn't this be like a 2.5 at best?
