Album was worth the wait. It's great.

So is Black Midi, so is BCNR, so is Squid, etc. etc. etc.

Not sure why everything needs to be compared in a negative way. It is very rare for a group to make music that doesn't sound like something else. There will always be comparisons to other groups. There will always be similarities to other existing music. These are not reasons to dismiss music. You either enjoy it or you don't.

That being said.. "IT'S OUR DIFFERENCES THAT MAKE US BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL"

I dig the sax in this so much. While we're talking about comparisons to other bands, has anyone ever mentioned Van Der Graaf Generator..?

OK, this definitely lives up to the expectations, it is fantastic even if I already played half of the songs a hundred times before the album's release. What a band, a jazzy RATM for our times.

I think I like the EPs more

Maybe I really love what these guys are doing in smaller doses

Preachy and overdone. How disappointing.

Such a severely disappointing album. Saoirse is one of the worst songs ever I can’t stand it.

I personally think there are more elements here that resemble Rage Against the Machine than majority of new weird britain bands... Maruja is going for much more conventional grooves and riffs in a "traditional" sense rather than subverting genre tropes like let's say black midi.

Album goes hard nevertheless but something keeps it from reaching awesome status for me. Maybe it's the preachiness as is mentioned here, and also lack of musical surprises. I will see them live in November so it might grow still.

The overtly oppressive sax on this works for me but not entirely sure why

So far I think best was actually the singles that hyped it. Heading to the closer now. I remember to get more overwhelmed with eps. Pretty good tho. Will keep listen.
