oh I assumed for some reason that you were caught up on their discography
definitely check out their EPs His Old Branches and The Cartographer, as well as their debut LP Varuna. No Matter How Narrow is pleasant enough but not a priority.
edit: also check the side project of Maggio and Van Deurs, Tiger on Trains, if you want some amazing acoustically-based indie-folk

I actually prefer both EPs to Varuna but to each their own. Varuna is still obviously excellent.

I've always enjoyed tigers on trains much more than this group but I'll give this a shot.

If anyone wants to pre-order this on vinyl I just heard that they will be releasing it with alternate art in that format. I'll link up when I get a chance but I'm sure you can find it on their website.

I slightly prefer the original artwork as well, but the alternate is still pretty damn good:

Also, the vinyl pre-order hasn't been posted yet as far as I can tell from that FB post, but it seems like more info on how to order is on its way.

loved the cartographer

This is heavier than The Cartographer, about the same as Varuna in that sense. It's less folksy though and more straight-up rock.

Haven't listened to these guys since the Varuna days. New song on Spotify is awesome though. Looking forward to this.

Which one? They have thus far released Northern Orthodox, Mitama, and Colored Out in that order. Whichever you've heard check out the other two.

the artwork for this album is enthralling-- and if it's anything like Varuna it should be fantastic
