I'm weirdly conflicted on Time Is Dancing though as it's by far my favorite song here but it's also maybe taking a little too much blatant inspiration from Bon Iver's Lump Sum

The fingerpicking in that song fuckin floored me after only hearing Noonday Dream before this, had no idea Bennyboi was such a talented player

Lotus Flower from the deluxe reissue of this is so good. glad he finally decided to drop at least a few unreleased joints from his obvious best era

Was really nice to hear a little more of this in the 10th anniversary EP/reissue.

'How Are You Feeling' & 'The Burren' are great.

it's funny because his guitar talent was easily the most remarkable thing about him when he first started making music. then he began intentionally subduing it more and more, with songs like Nica Libres at Dusk which has like, intentionally bad guitar (in spite of being an awesome song)

most of his songs are also really fun and not especially difficult to play, largely due to the use open tunings which makes for mostly simple chord shapes. I think almost the entirety of Noonday Dream is in DADGAD
