I always found it crazy people put so much stock into ratings and shit like that. My thoughts change daily!!!

Yeah dude I jam what I like and what I THINK I'll like. I never go into an album expecting to hate it. Of course there are some albums that are so bad you have to jam but thats few and far between.

same here man. sometimes i get self conscious that i rate everything high lol. but really i only check out stuff i think i will like and sample most things so i know a vague idea what it sounds like. so much great music out there no need to waste my time on bad shit.

Sometimes I intentionally seek out bad/hated music because if its bad it serves as a reminder that we really don't have it that bad, and also sometimes the hate is overblown. Like how can you expect me to get mad at Take Me Back to Eden when BookTok: The Album exists?
