Reminds me quite a lot of 80s era Kiilling Joke (and maybe the latter era of that same band too), but in a good way and which never seems to get the point where this band are basically a copycat. There's a lot of neat little touches here and there in every song-but what particularly stood out to me was the very prominent bass work, and its solid collaboration with the sometimes gritty, sometimes melodious guitar style. To me what drags the album down a bit is how the vocals seem a little "off" at times, especially in the album opener and "Dark Life of Seduction", and "Comedown" just irritates me every time I listen to it. But this is mostly made up for by the eccentricity of songs like "Course Correction" and "Sharp Fangs, Pale Flesh".
