precisely what benji said. however, the harkening back to a release(s) near 40 years ago without
any clear evolution/progress/deviation in sound was a little disappointing. while Eno's solo
Ambient discog can be hit-or-miss (esp within the last 30 years), his most innovative works, in my
opinion, come from his ability to create a theme and an atmosphere within his sound for the
listener to navigate, whether that be discreet background music, an airport, the conceptual
soundtrack for imaginary films, a figurative landscape, or an accompaniment to the Apollo Moon
Missions. here, the ironically titled "Lux," which is meant for installation in art galleries and
airport terminals, insinuating the brightness/light of these two spaces(?) leans more towards
"Nox," a sleepy and lingering comatose reminiscent to overdosing melatonin and still not being
able to sleep, producing themes of none of its aforementioned predecessors in the imagination, and
an atmosphere that is quite run-of-the-mill Ambient.
