A pretty decent album. Ola can produce some excellent melodic moments, and some occasionally very brutal ones, but it can lose itself in some poorer, more monotonous riffs. That said, it can be pretty groovy.

Squealer Wrong Time, Wrong Place?3.5
More refined than Make Your Day in terms of its approach. Still thrashy though.
Squealer Make Your Day3.0
There's a bit of power metal influence on this one but it thrashes mostly. It's solid, got good bits and bad bits. Not as good as "Wrong Time, Wrong Place?" and "The Prophecy", the latter of which is admittedly a bit of a one hit wonder with its opener.

One of those albums that makes Reign In Blood feel mellow.rAnd probably Darkness Descends too.rVocals are scary, songs are insanely fast, riffs are cool, drumming is amazing, bass is nice and audible; generally a thrash gem.

What separates this from the rest of the wank pack is that it actually has decently structured songs and some memorable riffs. It isn't brilliant but it's certainly better than crap like Brain Drill.

Gemini is still a cool song due to the eerie nature of it. The covers aren't too bad either.

Not really seeing why this is rated so low. It's got some respectable riffs and some crushingly heavy moments. Vocals are decent too.

Seems that the lack of Sneap has let Dave have a mid-life crisis on a couple of tracks. Never Dead, Deadly Nightshade, New World Order, Fast Lane, Black Swan, and a few moments on Public Enemy are fun, catchy and thrashy, but some songs here are either familiar returns or dull.

Taking it down a bit as I'm Alive ticks me off.rIn The End is extremely good though.

This is actually a brilliant metal CD, and the version of In A Nameless Time on here is much better than the one on Black In Mind.

Sepultura Kairos2.5
Riffs would be nice but I feel no weight behind them.
Holy Moses The New Machine of Liechtenstein4.0

The intro track is great, and the proper ones are brilliant too.rVocalist is completely inappropriate though, sound like the one from Tankard to an extent.
Anubis Gate Purification3.0
Redemption The Fullness of Time4.5
Holy Moses Terminal Terror4.0
It's funny how Nothing For My Mum happens to be a colossal thrash assault, and a seriously good song.
Benediction Grind Bastard3.5
Significantly more commercial than earlier albums but still very strong and it gets the catchy air right.
Benediction Transcend the Rubicon4.0
Malevolent Creation Stillborn3.5
I'm kinda shocked too, it's got some slower paced numbers but the riffs are great in places.

Annihilator Annihilator2.0
This sucks because of those god-awful lyrics as well as those dumb stop-start dynamics the band abuses.
Holy Terror Mind Wars4.5
This album is awesome, a great thrash/crossover assault with some truly great solos.
Tankard Zombie Attack4.0
Pretty nice album. Title track is pretty memorable.
Tankard Beast of Bourbon4.0
Agressor Deathreat4.0
Hooray for death metal bands no-one has heard of. This has some really great material.
Warbringer Waking Into Nightmares4.0
Suicidal Angels Dead Again4.0
I liked this. It's another decent thrash revival album.
Forbidden Omega Wave4.0
Another competent return to form like a lot of the old thrashers. Pretty formidable guitar work.
Benediction The Grand Leveller4.0
Nice, varied paces and fun riffs, as well as some good basslines.
Overkill Under The Influence3.5
Overkill Ironbound4.5
Hades Resisting Success3.5
This is actually pretty good thrash. Don't see why more people haven't heard of it.
Annihilator Total Annihilation3.5
They're not Annihilator's best tracks, but this gives you some nice songs like Back To The Palace and Ultraparanoia for free.
Anthrax Sound Of White Noise3.0
Helstar Burning Star3.5
Very NWOBHM, and it's pretty respectable ; the vocalist has a very high range and the riffs are pretty good.
Helstar Glory Of Chaos3.5
Some of the tracks here are so awesome, but overall it's pretty inconsistent.
Dream Theater Awake4.5
Toxik World Circus4.0
While I prefered Think This this is one hell of an album. Really neat progressive thrash.
Toxik Think This4.5
This is one of the greatest thrash metal gems I've found in my life. I'd given World Circus a listen, but this album manages to be immensely progressive and also very disturbing at times like the title track. Overall this is one of the best thrash metal albums you've most likely not heard of.
Radiohead OK Computer5.0
The Smashing Pumpkins Zeitgeist2.5
Alice in Chains Dirt4.5
Vader Necropolis3.5
Overkill The Years of Decay4.5
Gojira From Mars To Sirius4.0
Metal Church Metal Church4.5
Demolition Hammer Epidemic of Violence5.0
Demolition Hammer Tortured Existence4.0
Good stuff. Pretty damn fun and brutal. Great thrash style, not so bad death metal sections.
Demolition Hammer Time Bomb3.0
This is pretty average. Not that awful though. Stale riffs, generic Groove metal style, but aggressive vocals and occasional double bass and thrashyness is fun.
Slayer Reign in Blood4.0
Destruction Day Of Reckoning4.0
Anthrax We've Come For You All3.0
Damn, I was writing a review for this but got logged out. More of a hard rock album IMO, Scott doesn't do very good riffs.
Megadeth Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?4.5
Exodus The Atrocity Exhibition...Exhibit A3.5
Annihilator All for You2.0
Dave Padden ruins this band. The vocals are made even worse because of the terrible lyrics on this and later albums.
Overkill Relix IV2.5
Overkill Bloodletting2.5
Overkill Necroshine3.5
Overkill The Killing Kind3.0
I liked Feeding Frenzy but there is a lot of stale riffing here.
Saxon Unleash the Beast3.5
It's pretty good, but I enjoyed Metalhead more.
Megadeth Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!4.0
Annihilator The One2.0
The vocals put me off in less than a second. Padden's voice was made for evil growls, not this.
Anthrax Among The Living5.0
Vektor Black Future3.5
Hugely impressive progressive thrash album. I haven't heard Demolition but this rips far beyond other extreme thrash releases like Inventor Of Evil. Funnily enough it reminds me of a mix of Destruction (drums and vocals, some riffs), Metallica (Most of the riffs) and Voivod (the progressiveness).
Anthrax Persistence Of Time4.0
Testament Practice What You Preach4.0
Testament The Formation Of Damnation4.0
Testament The Gathering4.0
Testament Low3.5
Testament The Ritual3.5
Annihilator Criteria for a Black Widow4.0
Metal Church A Light in the Dark3.5
Disappear is pretty good, and overall this is an album full of catchy riffs, vocals are weaker than on the earlier albums though.
Kreator Hordes Of Chaos3.5
Gama Bomb Tales From the Grave in Space3.5
Reminds me of Anthrax mixed with some random hyperactive thrash band. I liked it.
Saxon Metalhead4.0
Underrated, I think this is a great little album that's more consistent than its successors.
Destruction Cracked Brain3.0
A decent attempt for a new album without their key member but the new vocalist for the album is way worse than Schmier. Production is pretty bad compared to Release From Agony too.
Kreator Enemy of God3.0
Destruction Thrash Anthems4.0
Release From Agony kicks ass when remastered, as does Cracked Brain.
Destruction Release From Agony4.0
Destruction The Antichrist4.0
