Imagine you're driving down the highway in a seven year old pickup truck with your best bro, routinely taking the most pedestrian, seven year old way home when your bro whips out this album. He jams the bitch into the disk tray, curb stomps the gas pedal through the floor, turns the steering wheel to the farthest left, rips it from the dashboard, activates the Jump-The-Fuck-UP function magically wired to your axels, and sucker punches the nitro into submission. Color your bro a master DJcorer who ignites each detail at will and you'll be doing kickass donuts on an overpass, man.
That's the album in a nutshell, MAN. |

PSY/OPSogist Suffused With Static | 5.0 |
Suffused in Static has smoothly weaved its way into every single mood I have managed to produce since I obtained it and revert them to bouts of thoughtfulness. The speeches overlaying background music that constantly fades in and out works so wonderfully here, that all attention is focused upon what the songs are attempting to say or depict rather than any flaws, should any actually exist. Each track differentiates itself, but maintains a mutual reliance upon one another that makes each spin as rewarding as the last and dissuades this listener from plucking favorites from the bunch (though the two opening tracks, A Quick Reminder, and Service Preparation stick out). The most important aspect of the album, though, is that it literally speaks to you, making the listener a character within this lush dreamland, and an important one at that. |
