2021
Mastodon Hushed and Grim4.0
Dream Theater A View from the Top of the World4.0
Trivium In the Court of the Dragon4.0
The title track is one of the best metal songs ever written. Heafy is a genius.
Gojira Fortitude4.0
WE WERE BORN FOR ONE THINGGG!! BORN TO FACE THE GREATEST FEAR OF ALL!!! Gojira continue the great albums and prove deservedly they are one of the most successful bands in this industry. One of the best records of the year.Favorite songs: Born for one thing, Into the storm, Hold on, the Trails and Grind (Great ending).
Architects For Those That Wish to Exist3.5
Evergrey Escape of the Phoenix3.5
A step back after the amazing "Atlantic". Stories, In the abscence of sun and Where August Mourns are my favorite songs here, with You from you having the best guitar solo in the record.

2020
Dark Tranquillity Moment4.5
Paradise Lost Obsidian3.5
Although Paradise Lost is one of my favorite bands for years, their turn to death-doom style wasn't my kind of stuff I like. In this album they blend all the styles and they create an interesting album in the familiar sounds and guitar melodies that made them the pioners of gothic sound. "Ending days" is by far my favorite song on the record.
Trivium What the Dead Men Say4.0
THEY ARE BACK! Their best record of the last years. The days of "Ascendancy" have gone forever and I have realized that, but we always expect a great record by Trivium, like this one. Better, more consistent and heavier than "The Sin and the Sentence", with some really great songs like the title track, "Catastrophist", "The Defiant" (Best song of the record, reminds me a lot the sounds of Ascendancy), "Amongst Shadows and Stones" and "Sickness Unto You".
Mystic Prophecy Metal Division2.0

2019
Dream Theater Distance Over Time4.0
Back to the great records! Some big moments here like Wit's end, Barstool warrior, Untethered angel and Out of reach
Rotting Christ The Heretics3.0
Evergrey The Atlantic5.0
Perfection. Their second best album after "ISOT",and one of the best records of the last years, so enjoyable and nostalgic! A big Englund moment! The album is flawless, but my favorites are "The Departure", "A Silent Arc", "A Secret Atlantis", "End of Silence" and "All I have".
2018
Architects Holy Hell5.0
The trilogy of ther masterpieces ends with this album. The lyrical content after the Tom's death is so intense and at the same high level, while the sound has differences with their previous two, with more emphasis on keybords and the atmosphere, without losing their identity. All the songs here from start to end are masterpieces, but i would say the last one "Wasted Hymn" is maybe my favorite song ever written.
Redemption Long Night's Journey Into Day3.5
Redemption is one of the best and most consistent progressive metal bands. Ray Alder's departure and the replacement by Tom England of Evergrey is very interesting, as both are two of my favorite performers in the metal scene. It's an enjoyable and very good album and my favorite songs are: " Impermanent", "Someone Else's Problem", " Indulge In Color ", "And Yet" and "New Year's Day"
Machine Head Catharsis3.0

2017
Trivium The Sin and the Sentence3.5
Higher rating than Ascendancy? Something goes wrong with the Sputnik users. Some catcy good songs here are "Endless Night", the title track and "Betrayer".
Caligula's Horse In Contact4.0
Caligulas Horse is a tremendous prog metal band, like Karnivool. "Dream the Dead" (ONE OF THE BEST PROG SONGS EVER) and "Songs for No One" are masterpieces.
Leprous Malina4.0
Mastodon Emperor of Sand3.5

2016
Metallica Hardwired...To Self-Destruct3.5
Dark Tranquillity Atoma3.5
Evergrey The Storm Within4.0
Not exactly a step back from their previous release, but I prefer Hymns a bit more. However, every Evergrey album keeps good standards, with this adding more keybords. Many great songs like "The Impossible", "Astray", "Passing through" and "Distance"
Fates Warning Theories of Flight4.0
Very interesting release by this legendary band. "The Light And Shade Of Things" is by far the best song here, but also "SOS", "Seven Stars" and "The Ghosts of Home" are among my favorites.
Architects All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us5.0
PERFECTION. I don't know what to say for this musical gem, the emotions here so intense. Better than the previous masterpiece, and one of the best albums in music in general!
Amon Amarth Jomsviking3.0
Dissapointment. Pretty decent album but i think its one of their worst records.I miss the epicness of their classic records."First Kill" is the best song here in my opinion.
Circus Maximus Havoc3.0
Being my favorite modern prog metal band, i had many expectations. A bit dissapointed from the album mostly because it lacks the prog feel of their previous records and the tracks are very easily stractured with a bit maintream/radiofriendly sound. However, there are some good songs here like "The Weight", "After the Fire" and especially "Love Ones" and "Chivalry" (personal favorite)....
Redemption The Art of Loss3.0
Anthrax For All Kings2.5
Rotting Christ Rituals2.0
Definitely the most uninspired moment of Sakis. It's dark and atmospheric in some parts, but this is mainly because of the great production. I didn't hear a memorable riff in the whole album. 2 for me. OSO MAS PLIGONEIS TOSO MAS PORONEIS SAKAREE!!
Obscura Akróasis4.0
Excellent record from one of the best bands in modern technical death metal scene and their album so far in my opinion. My favorite songs here are the title track, "Ten Sepiroth", "Ode to the Sun" and "Sermon of the Seven Suns".
Dream Theater The Astonishing3.5
Even the best band ever existed deserves to have a record which dissapoints. However, the record is good and its sound reminds me my childhood Disney songs. Its like a jourmey back to very early innocent years of our childhood and only a band like Dream Theater could manage to transmit these feelings . Maybe does not reach the potential of these legends, but I am not dissapointed by this effort. Favorite songs: Chosen, When your time has come, Act of Faythe, A life left behind, Begin again
Megadeth Dystopia3.5
A very solid effort by Megadeth and better than its predecessor...My favorite songs here are the title track, "Fatal Illusion" and especially "Poisonous shadows", by far the best song on the album IMO.

2015
Baroness Purple4.0
One of the best metal releases of 2015. Baroness returned stronger after the accident and released perhaps their best album. Excellent record. My favorites are "Morningstar", "Shock me", the catchy "Try to Disappear", "Kerosene" (Mastodon's influence is very clear) and the epic "Chlorine & Wine"...
Amorphis Under the Red Cloud3.5
Pretty enjoyable effort by this great band! I dont like it so much as "Silent Water" or "Eclipse" but the albums grows on me....Personal Favorites are "Dark Path" (By far the best song on the album), "Bad Blood", "Death of a King" and"Four Wise ones"...
Paradise Lost The Plague Within3.5
Completely different from their latest albums but still it has the unique sound of Paradise Lost. This album is more a death doom album and i haven't any problem with this genre, but it lacks the speed and the superb melodies that their previous albums had. However, after listening again the album, i can say that it is a very interesting effort with great musicianship throught the whole album, but still not considering it amazing. My favorite song in the album is by far the last one, "Return to the sun"! What an amazing song and ending to this album, definitely one of the best songs they have ever written in my opinion. Other favorites are "No Hope insight", "An eternity of lies", "Victim of the past" and "Cry out" (second favorite, amazing song).
Leprous The Congregation4.5
Close to a masterpiece. Great record by the amazing Leprous. Unique band. Favorite songs: "The Price", "The Flood", "Within My Fence", "Red", "Slave", "Moon" and "Down".
Kamelot Haven3.5
A pretty good album by one of the most important power metal bands with beautiful songs like "Fallen Star", "Insomnia", "Veil of elysium", "End of innoncence", "Beautiful apocalypse" and the ballad "Here's to fall".
2014
Machine Head Bloodstone and Diamonds5.0
4rth consecutive masterpiece! I cant be objective with this band...Any Machine Head album for me is flawless..like this one...NOW WE DIE, GAME OVER TAKE ME THROUGH THE FIRE, SAIL INTO THE BLACK, EYES OF THE DEAD, GHOST WILL HAUNT MY BONES, KILLERS AND KINGS, NIGHT OF THE LONG KNIVES...!!! every song in this masterpiece is Robb Flynn's finest moment
Decapitated Blood Mantra3.0
Better than the previous album, still not something special. They have completely lost their unique death metal identity. My favorite songs here are "Veins" and "Nest"...RIP DECAPITATED (1996-2006)
Evergrey Hymns for the Broken4.0
Their big comeback after 10 years of poor efforts. This album grows on me..amazing record, even better than "Inner Circle" or "Recreation day" in my book. Favorite songs here: "The aftermath" (pefrect ending to the album"), the title track ( these 2 songs are one my favorite songs ever), "Wake a change", "Archaic Rage", "Missing You" and "King of errors"
