| This is actually a very solid album. rIt starts in classic 'Deth fashion with the bouncing and heavy riffing Sudden Death which features snarling Mustaine vocals and excellent dual guitar solos of Mustaine and Broderick. Public enemy Number 1 is another superb song which sounds very catchy and reminds me of Youthanasia/Cryptic Writings. Apart from a couple of mediocre songs the rest is brilliant. Never Dead is a very simple yet head-jarring song while We The People harks back to Countdown to Extinction. New World Order features a fantastic, thrashing riff at the end, Black Swan has a lovely intro solo and a classic chorus while 13 is a fantastic and eerie song about Dave's life. This is an excellent album and the plus point is that it has all sounds ranging from Rust in Peace/Peace Sells esque thrashers to melodic Cryptic Writing style songs.r |
