OK, I've decided, they're both classics. This might be coming from a fanboy point of view, but with songs like Work In Progress, No One's Gonna Need You More, Everyone Left, Parachute, and In My Room all being amazing and the rest of the songs being great, it's hard to give it anything less. Plus, the lyrics seems to come with a story that I'm not sure was intended. It begins with everything being perfect and feeling as if you're on top of the world, but slowly everything detioriarates in life and you figure out you're all by yourself. But, then you realize you're not alone, and even if you were, you only need yourself to get by. And AJ Perdomo, the lead singer and lyricist, is able to make everyone relate to his story. And that, is what makes this album a classic. |

This isn't your run of the mill American Idol winner album. David Cook's sophomore release also isn't your run of the mill Pop/Rock album. The songs have meaning and are filled with huge choruses that give the album a very anthemic sound. That is where the problem lies. This is an album filled with anthems. Granted, they're very well written anthems, especially for this genre, but listening to songs with huge choruses gets tiring and monotonous after a while.r3.3/5 |

A great indie album that thrives on experimenation while never alienating the listener. It's somehow gone by unnoticed throughout 2011. Recommended Tracks: 27, King of Diamonds, God Damn Girl |
