Frank Ocean Channel Orange4.5
The Word Alive Life Cycles2.5
Chris Brown Fortune1.0
The album's only saving grace is "Til I Die", and that's because Danja produced it and the synths sound like a video game.

Only download "Come on a Cone" and "I Am Your Leader" for the great production, and then laugh & facepalm at some of the stupidest lyrics known to man.

Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn of Events5.0
The Browning Burn This World1.5
Download: "Burn This World" for a cool orchestral breakdown & hip-hop beat and "I Choose You" for some cool video-game synths, but otherwise ignore the childish lyrics and crappy production.

Symphony X Iconoclast4.0
Of Mice & Men The Flood4.5
One of my favorite modern metalcore albums. A nice amount of diversity in songwriting (for the genre), and Joey Sturgis turns in some of his best production work here; the bassy tone sounds like butter to my ears.

2010
Deadmau5 4x4=124.0
Robyn Body Talk4.0
Smarter and better than your average electropop. Production's amazing, too.
Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy5.0
Escape the Fate Escape The Fate2.5
Black Eyed Peas The Beginning1.5
Pretty bad, but it's almost addictive in its synthy badness.
Motionless In White Creatures4.0
Cool gothic/industrial take on the genre. Musicianship is through the roof.
Sufjan Stevens The Age of Adz5.0
Bring Me The Horizon There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It4.5
Pushes the "scene" forward with experimentation and excellent musicianship.
Brandon Flowers Flamingo3.5
The Black Angels Phosphene Dream4.5
Linkin Park A Thousand Suns5.0
What an album. Epic, beautiful poetry. Truly an experience to hear.
Woe, Is Me Number[s]4.0
The Word Alive Deceiver5.0
If Dream Theater played synthcore, this would be the result.
Black Veil Brides We Stitch These Wounds2.5
Soilwork The Panic Broadcast4.0
Parkway Drive Deep Blue5.0
Attack Attack! Attack Attack!1.5
Very disappointing considering SCS got me into the genre, was hoping this album would be just as groundbreaking, but I guess these guys turned out to be a one-album wonder.

Deftones Diamond Eyes5.0
Flying Lotus Cosmogramma4.5
Escape the Fate This War Is Ours (Deluxe Edition)2.0
Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise5.0
War of Ages Eternal3.0
MGMT Congratulations5.0
Epic and subdued, atmospheric and in-your-face at the same time.
Upon a Burning Body The World Is Ours4.5
Never in my life have I heard brutality as focused as this. For a deathcore record, this is as good as it gets.
Justin Bieber My World 2.01.0
The Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis5.0
From First To Last Throne To The Wolves4.5
Of Mice & Men Of Mice & Men3.0
Semi-quality metalcore record, though guitars and drums are overly compressed at times, and there are a few too many breakdowns scattered throughout.
Gorillaz Plastic Beach4.5
Ellie Goulding Lights4.0

2009
30 Seconds to Mars This Is War4.5
Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment3.5
Them Crooked Vultures Them Crooked Vultures4.5
Biffy Clyro Only Revolutions4.0
We Came As Romans To Plant A Seed3.5
Intriguing debut, familiar but enjoyable. Replay value's pretty good.
Soundtrack The Twilight Saga: New Moon3.0
Blessthefall Witness3.0
Somewhat formulaic, but insanely catchy, and has a fair amount of technical and songwriting skill to boot.
Deadmau5 For Lack of a Better Name4.0
Skindred Shark Bites And Dog Fights4.0
Porcupine Tree The Incident5.0
Top of the line production and songwriting, wrapped up in a thought-provoking concept album.
Asking Alexandria Stand Up and Scream2.5
Has its interesting moments, and may be better remembered for further popularizing synthcore/modern metalcore tropes started by AA!'s "Someday Came Suddenly".
David Guetta One Love1.0
The xx xx3.5
Soundtrack Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen2.5
Dream Theater Black Clouds & Silver Linings4.5
The best of latter-day DT. "The Count of Tuscany" is absolute perfection.
Steve Jablonsky Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - The Score3.0
Black Eyed Peas The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)2.5
No more "I Gotta Feeling". Please, I beg of you, at least play "Rock That Body" or even "Imma Be", just not the most overplayed song on radio since Nickelback's "Rockstar".
Little Boots Hands3.0
Phoenix Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix4.0
Passion Pit Manners4.5
Album answers the question, "How many synthesizers can we fit into one rock song?" with "As many as possible!". Addictive and worth repeat-listens.
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown4.0
Lacuna Coil Shallow Life2.5
Mastodon Crack the Skye5.0
The Lonely Island Incredibad3.5
Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion3.5
Soundtrack Naruto OST #13.5

2008
Linkin Park Sweet Hamster Like Jewels From America!3.0
For a comedy EP, this is pretty fun. From Linkin Park, no less.
Coldplay Prospekt's March3.5
Attack Attack! Someday Came Suddenly3.0
An excellent introductory record to metalcore, and has a few inspired moments to boot (opening 30 seconds of "The People's Elbow", breakdown in "Party Foul"). Just plain fun.
Soundtrack Twilight Official Soundtrack3.5
Escape the Fate This War Is Ours2.0
Metallica Death Magnetic5.0
An astonishing return to form. Mixes their classic prog-thrash with later blues-oriented arrangements; makes for a diverse, but cohesive thrash record. Sound engineering issues aren't nearly as bad as people say they are; I've heard much, much worse. Even if you're not a fan of the band, this is definitely worth a listen.
DragonForce Ultra Beatdown4.5
One of DF's best, and it's mostly because Vadim, the keyboardist, had a hand in writing most of the songs here.
Coldplay Viva La Vida4.0
Vayden Children of our Mistakes3.5
Nice use of dynamics and the band's energy is through the roof.
Linkin Park Songs From The Underground3.5

The Killers Sawdust3.0
The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works4.5
Britney Spears Blackout3.5
Radiohead In Rainbows5.0
Steve Jablonsky Transformers - The Score4.0
MGMT Oracular Spectacular3.5
Melds plenty of genres, most of the time effortlessly, though the singles ("Kids", "Time to Pretend") got overplayed on radios, the mall, etc.
Animal Collective Strawberry Jam4.0
Kanye West Graduation4.0
Chiodos Bone Palace Ballet4.0

Really good debut. Mixes electronic with hardcore better than most.

Really like the eclecticism and concept of it all. Excellent production by Nigel Godrich. Awesome do-it-yourself album artwork, too.
Evanescence The Open Door4.0
Escape the Fate Dying Is Your Latest Fashion3.0
Justin Timberlake FutureSex/LoveSounds3.5
Kind of falls off toward the end, but the beats are top-notch, and JT's got charisma out the wazoo.

Cool sound, but they've much improved since. Lyrics are sometimes very cliche.

2002
Porcupine Tree In Absentia4.5
One of PTree's best. Minor inconsistencies keep it from being a classic, like how I feel about DT's Scenes from a Memory.
