Lacks the giddy bliss of their last two releases. It is both noisily tuneless and incredibly boring, an amazing mix that betrays a band so in search for their next direction they abandon the elements that made them palatable in the first place, instead burying their vocals and instruments under effects until it becomes a slurry. A few bright spots aside, this band has released far better music than this

Spacious, Futuristic, and clever, Ocean's major label debut is both far flung and intimate. Production favors
warm summer-y synths and gentle drums that cater nicely to Ocean's croon. Ocean's songwriting is the real
star here, able to turn a 10 minute track like "Pyramids" into a multifaceted journey relating imagery of both
distant galaxies and sleazy bars without collapsing into R-Kellyisms. The album's sore misstep is in it's
length. There are too many short tracks and interludes for the album to have a real build of any kind; With a
smaller song selection and tighter sequencing this album could be something. For now it's a signal of rising
star in an oft-maligned genre. Frank Ocean will great things for RnB. This little gem is just the beginning folks

Very Good EP. Contains the band's best dance track, the ten and a half minute long Screamadelica, which was left of the album of the same name, and shows a very heavy P-funk influence. It remains the one of the best dance tracks in Primal's Scream's repertoire. Another highlight is the cover of Beach Boys B-side carry me home, which is given a ghostly, haunting production. The last song on this EP is Stone My Soul, which sounds like alternate version Damaged from screamadelica, and it impresses with some amazing pedal steel work and soulful vocals from longtime callaborator Denise Johnson, who sings on 3 of these songs.

Very boring this one; the band tries to do away with the the twee pop of thier debut and make themselves into a
rocking bar band, but Gillespies voice doesn't fit hear at all. as a result it becomes one long dreary mess. This album
wasn't a complete loss; I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have would later become the band's hit single and arguably
their trademark when it was remixed into "loaded" from 1991's Screamadelica
