Rammstein's style of music may not be a new concept but their still pretty unique. Nuch like a dance metal genre (if that existss). But the reason I gave this album a 5 is because of there firey (and sometimes gross) live performances. Oddly enough Pyrotechnics, baby diapers, gimps, dildos, and Hitler's rolling "r" sound seem to make a huge impression on me and I'm sure other people. This album just happens to have most of their best songs when they play live. Thus this isn't really a rating of the album but a rating of there wild shows which will go down in music history.

This album is just so emotionally charged with all the tormented feelings of Staley. His vocal performance and there rest of the bands instruments go very well with the band creating a dark but melodic sound. The songs can become so brooding such as Nutshell and Frogs, the latter being actually quite disturbing. Of all AIC's albums I think this one will still be listened to years from now and people will still feel the same way. They will feel that same emptiness and hopefully view Staley as the tragic figure our generation views him as. That long lasting effect is what imo makes an album a classic.

Nick Caves truly approached death with an eye not often used during his age of music. He is still macabre even in this modern age were shock is a vital tool and goth culture reings supreme. His voice has dynamic rang and his music is a tight machine. His reputation will only continue to grow as more people listen to this album.
