Oasis Definitely Maybe
Good, but overrated. The power of tracks like Supersonic, Live Forever and Rock n Roll Star is undeniable, but bloody Digsy's Dinner? Buoyant choral melody, but intolerable lyrics. An early forewarning of crap like Force of Nature. Still, a promising, optimistic debut. Just not the legend it is made out. Pitchfork were right about these charlatans. 7.5/10

To paraphrase a comment saw a few weeks ago. Piece of shit album, piece of shit band. 3.9/10.

1.5 very poor
Beady Eye BE
These guys still going? Seriously? I only ask because "Flick of the Finger" sounds like Gallagher trying to stay awake during music composition lessons. It certainly bored me.
Kaiser Chiefs Employment
Oasis Be Here Now
The Enemy (UK) We'll Live And Die In These Towns

1.0 awful
Good Charlotte Cardiology
Kings of Leon Only By The Night
"Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody" we've all heard and laughed at. It carries on like this.
Nickelback Dark Horse
Oasis Heathen Chemistry
This only gets a 1 because a lower mark is off Sputnik's scale. Three words: "Force of Nature". Just listen to it. Or try to, at least. Here's a taster: "For smoking all my staaaaaaaaaaash!/And burning all my caaaaaaaaaaaaaash!" Yep. I thought so too. Sums the album up. It's fair to say the musical legacy of the Gallagher twits is a rather messy one.
