5.0 classic
Claude Debussy Nocturnes, L. 91
The epitome of the nocturne style. The first and third movements are my favorites. Pure nighttime music to gaze upon the stars to. moving, mysterious, humbling and awe inspiring.
King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
Enough has been said about this record. Nearly divine.
Miles Davis Sketches of Spain
A grandiose epic that is hard to give justice to in words. If you listen to jazz, you have likely heard this album, or will shortly.
Nas Illmatic
Nas could never quite recreate the magic of this record. Up there with 36 chambers. Top Tier hip hop from a legend.
The Overnight Players Babylon Destruction
If there ever was an absolutely necessary Reggae album, this would have to be it. Interesting production gives the album a life of its own.
Vali Skogslandskap
This album always ends way too fast. Introspective music that one can get lost in easily. Observing nature and Vali go hand in hand.

4.5 superb
Aphex Twin Syro
Leaves me yearning for more releases. Been listening non stop.
Dream Theater Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Some of the lyrical content in the latter songs can prove a bit tiresome, but this record has a lot of satisfying areas that Dream Theater never really tried to replicate, leaving it among their finest records in my opinion.
M83 Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts
For me, this record is a bit better than Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. Which is also a great record, but this one is a bit more grounded.
Rush Moving Pictures
Absolutely essential Prog. Rush is god tier here. YYZ and Tom Sawyer being obvious standouts.

4.0 excellent
Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged
Easily the best versions of their greatest songs, all in one performance. Incredibly fitting that it would be one of Staley's final shows.
Camel The Snow Goose
The legendary Snow Goose. Camel at its finest. Songs that can appeal to many different ears. A great introduction to the genre.
Deniro Farrar Rebirth
Exivious Liminal
quintessential music of the American 21st Century. Influences of American Jazz and Metal combine for a new, yet familiar sound that still manages to hold my attention. I'll spare you the tiring embellishment of my fellow Sputnik "reviewers". A solid album with a lot going for it.
Peter Bjorn and John Writer's Block
This band ain't what it used to be, but this record is what propelled them into stardom.
The Shins Chutes Too Narrow
Simple and enjoyable "indie" music. Nice imagery in the lyrics. Not trying too hard pays off for this record, practically classic as far as the band is concerned.
Ulver Bergtatt - Et eeventyr i 5 capitler
A lovely album that makes one question the direction the 'New Ulver' has taken. Nevertheless, it ends up making the album and their early works even more special. As others have pointed out, strikes the perfect balance between Folk and Metal. The clean vocals are a standout.

3.5 great
Russian Circles Memorial
Not as memorable as 2011's Empros, still an interesting listen.

3.0 good
Boards of Canada In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
A nice introduction to Boards of Canada. Kid For Today and the title track are standouts.
diSEMBOWELMENT Transcendence into the Peripheral
Not a huge fan of the sludge metal genre, which I suppose this is. but this album is pretty neat. Won't be interesting unless you know and can appreciate what you're getting in to. Heavier than anything you can imagine. Many consider it a Classic.
Satyricon Dark Medieval Times
Decent black metal record that would give way to Nemesis Divina. Some of the transitions can be rather abrupt. The Opening sets the stage perfectly and is some pretty ghastly stuff.
