| This is one of my favorite, if not my favorite album, for both its musical content and complex, layered thematic ideas. This is The Who in confusion, the who telling its audience to grow up, the who pounding like they're live, with tight arrangements featuring synthesizers that sound legitimately good and not dated. I'll avoid flat out reviewing it to avoid my starry-eyed admiration. |
