what a fantastic album. good, creative songs, stellar production, everything's here. this album has a song from about every genre right here; rap, hard rock, ballads, funk, ehehehe this is great
GZA Liquid Swords
Probably my favorite hip-hop record, if not then easily my favorite east-coast rap album. When it comes to music, I generally don't pay any attention to the lyrics whatsoever, but when hip-hop comes into question (especially east-coast), where lyrics are extremely important, then I start listening. And this album imo is a staple of lyrical mastery. The songs take on all kinds of different moods and atmospheres, the beats are catchy beyond what words can describe, and this is just one that I now listen to on an almost daily basis
