Nostalgia factor is through the roof. Boys Night Out's Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses EP explores the beauty in brutality. Think of the EP in a Quentin Tarantino light, Brutality is glorified. The guitar and bass melodies are catchy as each chord swoons about each carefully constructed song. The drums are spot on as well. Vocalist Connor Lovat-Fraser brings another melody element in his vocal style, thus adding to the amount of melody that is pumped into this EP. Guitarist Jeff brings the darker side of brutality with his raspy screamed lyrics which play extremely well off of Connors. These songs will stick with you as they have with me all the years since. 5/5 |
