Entombed sound really mean on this album. L-G Petrovs vocals remind me of an old drunk screaming profanities at passers by, which, in the case of a death'n'roll band, is a good thing. The production of the instruments match L-G's voice perfectly, with a dirty, muddled sound. The lyrics are just as cool and provoking as we've come to expect from Entombed. Best tracks: Serpent Saints, Masters of Death, Amok, and last but not least the ultra cool Love Song for Lucifer.

Starts off with five really great songs, which work really well live, too. The last two songs can't match the rest.

A total change in direction for Paradise Lost, who at the time being seemed to be fed up with death / gothic metal. Was it a sell-out, or a band going their own way? No matter what the answer is to that question, one thing is clear: the album is packed with dark, heavy, beautiful songs.

A great EP. The music is dynamic and contains some very unexpected elements. Reggae? Since it's only for 40 seconds or so, they get away with it. Great vocals, and a nice groove. Metalcore for people like me who can't stand most metalcore bands and their incessant, brain dead screaming.
