Lupe Fiasco The Cool
I've seen so many people say "Lupe has no talent. He makes no sense." Their brains must be too dead from
that mindless generic garbage that the media promotes. Lupe's messages must be too complex and
thought provoking for them. Every time I listen to this, I notice something new. Some of these songs are
just so deep you have to listen to them a few times to understand what he's trying to get across.

Raekwon Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang
Wow. Bulldog once again gives a legend like Rae a 2.5 but he gives Gucci Mane a 5? The lyrics are, as usual,
excellent and the production is MUCH better than Lupe's album (anything is better than it to be honest).
Only problem is that most of the tracks are only 2 minutes and some are even less. This'll still probably
grow on me even though I already love it. I think it might be better than OBF4CL II. And, by the way, what
the hell is with Rick Ross and Jim Jones being on here?

The production is not worse than OB4CL II... You know what's laughable? Liking Gucci Mane.

3.5 great
50 Cent Before I Self Destruct
I'm surprised. Great production, great lyrics (especially considering it's 50) and not as many terrible pop
songs that dominated Curtis. 50's lyrics are a lot more aggressive now and you can tell from the first track
that 50 is back and he's pretty damn pissed. For example "Your daddy fucked your mama then fucked your
sister/then climbed in your bed playing with your sugar/go ahead, take your belt off and hang
yourself/matter of fact, grab your strap and bang yourself" and "This ain't Tha Carter, nigga this is
Sparta/It's harder/I'll die and be a martyr/respect me like your father". He also he keeps the guests to a bare
minimum, with Eminem being the only other rapper on the album making an appearance on "Psycho", which
sounds like a leftover track from Relapse (in a good way). Tracks 1-9 are all great and actually some of 50's
best, but after that he sort of goes back to generic songs bouncing back and forth between getting girls
and being a gangster. The second half of it is alright, but nothing 50 hasn't done before. But the first half of
the album is definitely worth a listen. Best tracks - Death to My Enemies, So Disrespectful, Psycho and
Stretch.

Also, it is actually quite pathetic that 50 managed to make a better album than Rakim this year.

Unlike most inconsistent albums, which usually have one half of quality material and one half of trash, this album jumps back and forth between great, personal tracks and absolute trash ones about hoes and money. It really is a shame he does that because this could've been an excellent album.

Drake Thank Me Later
Terrible... Some of the lines are just so dumb i want to kill myself. "Wu-Tang niggas want that cream".. wow
doesnt even make sense. "All my friends out partying while i make the music they party to, so party on
party on". What was he thinking? Every song is about how terrible his poor, famous life is. Drake, I mean
this in the best way possible. Shut the fuck up. Your life is just fine so stop complaining about it. When i
hear 16 year old boys listening to this it makes me sick. Even girls shouldn't listen to him. This idiot barely
qualifies as a rapper.

Alright, i gave it a slightly higher rating due to some good production, a few good guests, and some pretty
good songs like "Up all Night, "Light Up" and "Miss Me". However it's still boring, generic and overrated and,
like Public Enemy said in 1988, "don't believe the hype".
