Massive improvement over Stalagmite of Ice. The vocal performance is still not outstanding, but more genuinely aggressive and at least passable here. Strange moments of hesitation have vanished here. This takes the good aspects from the first album (harshness, riffs) while leaving behind the bad for the most part (vocals, hesitation).

The first album was mostly tech-death with shoehorned symphonic elements. The second album was symphonic death metal, but the tech-death elements were notably less. Hopefully, this finds a balanced medium between the two which can make fans of either album happy.
