The best and most solid post-Clarity Jimmy Eat World release. From Bleed American on-wards they've delivered several records with the same kind of poppy alt. rock sound, but here is where we have the most brilliant and emotionally engaging examples of that sound

I remember dismissing an EP by this group a while back, but I'm glad I came back to them with this album. Really great post-rock music. 'Time Destroys Everything, but Our Foundation Remains', 'In the House of Wolves', and 'And So They Watched as the Years Passed Us By' are particularly recommended tracks

Akdong Musician PLAY
ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION Magic Disk
Childish Gambino Camp
Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP 2
This would be a solid LP if it weren't for the occasional really out of place sounding (and often quite bad) tracks that totally mess up the flow of the album. Take the deluxe edition of this record and remove the weird and crappy tracks and you'd have a good record, but as things stand we've got an album with a lot of quality tracks but too messy and disjointed to be a good record overall

2.0 poor
Eminem Recovery
Kanye West Yeezus
The main problem with Yeezus is that it's the first Kanye album where Kanye isn't a particularly interesting or entertaining figure. Here he presents himself more like the guy everyone else has been saying he is for years: just some dude with a cocky attitude and an over-sized ego. He's always had that, but until now it was just part of a more interesting overall character, developing from album to album. At album number six however, this character seems to have reached a point where the ego and attitude is all that's left, making for a collection of uninteresting lyrics and an overall boring personality. Musically this is still alright, but these issues keep it from being anything special as a whole
Linkin Park A Thousand Suns

1.5 very poor
Epik High 99
Muse The Resistance
Used to really enjoy some Muse back in high school but this album completely ruined them for me. Very bad music
Taking Back Sunday Tell All Your Friends
I've tried time after time to get into this album but somehow I just can't do it. Even after several listens I've only managed to really enjoy two songs, which is a shame cos it seems I'm missing out on something special that every TBS fan other than myself sees very clearly
Twenty One Pilots Vessel

1.0 awful
