I really miss the vocals of the previous record, and even though the sound is amazing, I can't really "get" the record. It may improve upon multiple spins.

2.5 average
Ash Borer Cold of Ages
Fleshgod Apocalypse Mafia
Have a Nice Life Time of Land
Krieg The Isolationist
It sounds brutal, yes, but I never get into the record. The sound is too remote, I'd like to get sucked into the music, be part of it, and I don't get the feeling that Krieg wants that to happen. Some really good songs, but in the end it doesn't do it for me.
Mastodon The Hunter
Weapon From The Devil's Tomb
I find the sound lacking, it's devoid of any depth or grating bass and the songs tend to be too tedious to be enjoyable.
YOB Atma

1.5 very poor
