The most creative sound i have heard in aggressive music ever. Not sure where these guys pulled this fusion out of. Incredibly experimental; heavily intriguing. Native ancestry summoning spirits of various atmospheres. Is that Canninus barking in the background? Who cares, this better be appreciated and even enjoyed.
Radical Face Ghost
The emotions this album invokes are warming. One-manned efforts in communicating his soul and displaying beauties of storytelling. A reasonable soundtrack for Autumn. And obviously has one of the best damn monikers.

Dirty Projectors Rise Above
This is the work of a genius encompassed in talent. The flailing patterns of riffs form unique songs that you don't hear these days too often. At times the lead vocals from Dave become wearisome, but after realizing his innovative style is actually a breath fresh of air, it starts to make sense. The songbirds- Amber and Angel add beauty to the songs with their 'hocketing' and harmonies. Rise Above is an abnormal treat.

Simple listening. Intelligent and reserved. The sound is jazzy, dark, down-tempo. You can picture the scenario of a nighttime straggler strolling down a city sidewalk under the glow of streetlights. Chill music; recommended for reading, writing or falling asleep.

Omni pleases similar to that of a stick of bubblegum. When i first gave it a taste I was captivated by the flavorful fun. It even stuck with me for a bit. After a while it lost its flavor and there was really nothing left to enjoy; just a poppy, chewy lacking piece of gum. Time to spit it out and hope for a longer-lasting flavorful piece of music.

Sure, this release is not as harsh or "brute" as their first, but it is equal in sonic devastation to the hardcore scene. Rising above the cliche structure of (heart-filled) hardcore, these dudes defy even their contemporaries in the genre and create dark, intense, but most importantly, careless hardcore. At times these songs sound flat or dragging, but overall the album kicks.

Waking The Cadaver Beyond Cops, Beyond God
Gore-Groove Slam kings WTC have had mixed reviews from the beginning of time. First it was the shock of the overtly graphic lyrical content mixed with gutturals that could only be spawned from a refilling-toilet. Then elitists started having hissy-fits about messy blast beats and simple chugging riffs. One thing WTC seems to succeed in is making themselves known whether being ripped on or moshed to and remains one of the most popular slam bands in the U.S. "Beyond Cops, Beyond God" admittedly is one of the most awful titles ever but their sound remains aggressive and slightly unique and even more mature, stepping up from previous releases. I'll be one of the few to stand up for these brutes.

I thought about giving this a very poor for the following reasons: chugaholic riffs, generic chord changes, unnecessarily low tuning, amateur-like slow sweeping, mundane vocals...but then I realized other p.o.s. bands have abused many o' listeners ears before in the same manner, therefore I deemed it an awful. This doesn't piss me off because it's tough and makes me want to swing my arms around in the pit, but because it's unbearably generic and tasteless.
