Melodic riffs, brutal breakdowns, pounding double bass, and a great variety of vocal techniques. This is a true classic for any metalcore fan.At the Gates Slaughter of the SoulAny melodic death metal fan will be pleased with this album. One hundred percent guarantied to SLAUGHTER YOUR SOUL! As a pioneering artist in the growing world of Glitch-Hop, edIT sets the standards incredibly high. As Glitch-Hop continues to emerge from the depths of the underground and new artists spread their leaves they will look back upon this album and wish they could produce as quality material, they surely have a lot to live up to. The older fans of Hold Your Color will probably prefer Under The Waves or Comprachicos. For the more recent dubstep crown there is Salt in the Wounds. The Island starts as a trance track and forms into house in part 2. You can really feel the rock influences in tracks like Self vs Self (Feat. In Flames; a pioneer and god of melodic death metal) as well as Comprachicos (a fast paced D&B track with an obviously NIN influenced intro). If god listens to D&B, he should be proud. Tracks like Machine Gun, Shellshock, and Alpha Centauri will have your head bobbing and your legs pumping for hours on end. Sadly, almost every song that is not a single sounds exactly like the songs that are. This band is very talented but they need to experiment a bit more.Slipknot IowaTech N9ne KillerThe singles "Everybody Move" and "Like Yeah" are superb but the rest of the songs are not that great. It's easy to see they have deviated from their more underground roots and that's perfectly fine. However, almost every track sounds the same. Rob Zombie Educated Horses1.0 awfulbrokeNCYDE I'm Not a Fan, but the Kids Like It!Honestly...don't waste your time with this garbage, it is just inappropriate music made for anyone under the age of 15....imagine Aaron Carter on crack. Everything this band is attempting to do has been done before (and much better!) by bands like 3oh!3 and Hollywood Undead.
