| I feel this album is kind of pretentious... for lack of a better word... it's art for art's sake if you know what I mean. Now, I'm the biggest fan of Devin and all of his work, but I liked Ziltoid better. I know a lot has changed in Dev's life in the last few years, since the breakup of SYL, and I understand that these changes led to this record - and the next ones as well - but I liked it when he was more angry, or when he was mixing aggression with beautiful melodies perfectly. But Ki is for the most part just guitar wanking. |
