Fortress is a love or hate album. If you hate it, you'll hate the guitar-centric songs, and the high pitched vocals. If you love it, you recognize the technical difficulty and love it all the more for it. I fall into the latter category. Fortress is a phenomenal follow-up to Kezia. It's a 4.75, not quite a classic

I'm positive this will go up to a 4.5 in the future. It's a grower, to be sure. I'm a HUGE fan of De-Loused, but I never really listened to much of their other stuff. You certainly need to approach it with an open mind.

A grandiose, sprawling epic. With multiple emotional highs and lows, this album will be

little niche and detail of this album is so meticulously thought out.

Fun. Really, that's the one word to sum up this album. I tend to be harsh toward anything resembling pop, so this rating is a little bias. I don't care for auto-tune, I don't care for electronic music. Of course, for every rule, there's an exception. Daft Punk is that exception.

While Kill The Drama may not be the most original band, they certainly combine some great elements from other bands. what they lack in diversity, they make up in catchiness, wonderful production, and a great lead singer. Kill The Drama is certainly a band to watch for in the future.

With BFMV's second full length release, we have a collection of great guitar-centric, accessible songs with simply abyssal lyrics. it's a solid album, and a great listen from beginning to end. unfortunately, the lyrics stop this album from reaching the heights it could've otherwise. hopefully with their next release, BFMV will improve their lyrics...

The kids certainly have their chops. The vocalist is spot-on throughout this entire piece, as short as it may be. The guitars are detuned to the point of being repulsive at times. The doom atmosphere is ALMOST unbroken throughout the entire album. Unfortunately, the vocals and overall performance leave something to be desired. While a decent album, there's much better in this same vein.

Technicality? What technicality? BOO's debut album leaves the listener expecting more. "Brutal" riffs drive the album, with the quintessential chug-chug of any metalcore release. Their over-use of keyboards is the cause of their comparison to The Faceless. However, their use is distracting and unnecessary. The lack of technicality throughout the record is disappointing for a band labeled as "brutal". Poor overall.

A few hits do not save this fresh, steaming piece of crap. What happens when you get crappy scene bands and a few a decent bands to cover shitty songs? This album. Most of it's absolutely horrible. Really. I can't even listen to Breathe Carolina's See You Again. Download ABR's ....Baby One More Time, A Static Lullaby's Toxic, Chiodos's Flagpole Sitta (Though I still prefer the original) and Escape The Fate's Smooth. Track down the other bands and kill them for creating the rest.
