With powerful pop hooks and harmonies in a haze of melodic guitars and steady drumming. This album warps dark atmospheres into beautiful melodies in very interesting ways. also had a keen ear for production value. It's fittingly noisy for the chaos and insanity that is the 5 o clock commute. Great album. Some songs go a little overboard but that's the kind of band Mclusky is. Specifically the trumpet sections, which is why I bought it. But
some parts really rub me the wrong way. Some of vocal parts really annoy me and take away from the music.
Really only on the track "Hands Are For Helping", it makes me cringe. Maybe I was prepared for ALL THE
EMOTIONS. But overall it's a very pulled together sounding record with a lot of interesting musical ideas and
textures. I will see if it grows on me.
