Don't see how this is extremely generic? They're a very talented band with lots of promise. Im really getting into this cd, ticks all the boxes for me. |

I haven't been able to listen to this entire album yet, mainly because this music is so extreme that after a few tracks i feel exhausted, its just so intense, especially the vocals, which have to be heard to believed.
I listen to alot of music with extreme vocals but when i first heard Cloacal Kiss (Necrobot) all i could think was 'oh my god, wot the fuck!' There is a particullar part when his scream goes acapella, its so intense that the sound vibrated my earsdrums so i could feel it inside my head, i can't explain it but it was incredible...and quite frightening...but not as frightening a hearing it coming down a dark street, out of my car at night tho...sorry neighbors. lol
Even if you don't appreciate the music, which is incredibly technical grind, using a drum machine instead of a drummer, you HAVE to listen to them once, just to hear those vocals!
This band is at the end of my tolerance spectrum. It would be great if someone who knows more about grindcore/cybergrind would tell us what they think of it?

In my opinion this is a vast improvement on 'The Library of...' which is also a great album. This is brutally heavy and epic as well as musically and lyrically impressive.
However, the production is a pain in the arse, both the vocals (which are awesome) and the drums (also awesome) seem muted, as does the bass. Makes it seem frustatingly cruastrophobic, numbing the brutally a bit.
However, i think calling this generic is a very unfair. Its just let down by the production by Adam D i think, who is usually immense. Worth a buy i think if you like epic, heavy, metalcore, definatly worth a listen though. |

This is a great little ep from a genuinely exciting sounding new band. A great mix of catchy but heavy post-hardcore, mixed with southern rock, topped off with great vocals. Pity the singer has left, hopefully they will find a replacement as he was a big part of my draw to this band.
ps; 'History of Mercia' is a classic. |
