5.0 classic
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Brand New Science Fiction
Honestly i expected this to be a massive let down after Mene and I am a nightmare, but lacey and crew went back to the drawing board and really outdid themselvesrelements of every other brand new album show up here, marinated in 8 years of life experience, and with a few new tricks thrown in amidst the chaos (Vin sings on track 5)rIf there is an album anyone deserves to 5 after 2 listens, it's this one. After growing up with this band and getting what feels like the last final goodbye from them, today is a really special moment
Dark Tranquillity Damage Done
Defeater Empty Days and Sleepless Nights
Glassjaw Coloring Book
yes i know this is classic after 4 listens so stfu
Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Okkervil River Down the River of Golden Dreams
there are few albums out there that posses this much introspection and this much lyrical accesibility provided by one of the greatest lyricists of all time william Sheff. This album stands out as okkervil rivers masterpiece backed by songs like "The Velocity of Saul at the Time of His Coversion" and "The War Criminal Rises and Speaks" the word epic is the only way to describe it.
The National Trouble Will Find Me
Well, The Wonder Years had their 24 hours in the spotlight. If this isn't AOTY 2013 will be the best year in music of the past 10 years

4.5 superb
Bon Iver Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Brand New Daisy
Brand New come out with their loudest and most dense album yet making a third and unprecedented musical leap. Over time this might rival Devil and God for me even though it falls a bit short right now. Overall it flows better than any of its predecessors and im impressed.
Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise
Cormorant Metazoa
Darkest Hour Deliver Us
Defeater Dear Father
dredg Catch Without Arms
Eleventh He Reaches London Hollow Be My Name
Frank Turner Tape Deck Heart
In Flames The Jester Race
Jeff Mangum Live at Jittery Joe's
letlive. Fake History (Re-Release)
listening to lemon party is almost as fantastic as attending an actual lemon party
Modest Mouse The Moon & Antarctica
Okkervil River The Silver Gymnasium
Will Shepp unleashes his most focused and dynamic effort since Black Sheep Boy, and you can't help but sing-along to his triumph
Propagandhi Supporting Caste
Protest the Hero Kezia
Shangrala This Is How We Communicate
Sole and the Skyrider Band Hello Cruel World
The Drones Havilah
The Felix Culpa Sever Your Roots
The National High Violet
The Republic of Wolves His Old Branches
The Republic of Wolves Varuna
This is now streaming, and I have to say that it is easily one of the top albums released this year. Beautiful and cathartic at the same time, this is possibly one of the greatest debuts I have ever heard. Check it out and giving this any less than a 4 is just stupid
The Wonder Years The Greatest Generation
I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral is the song of the year
The Wonder Years No Closer to Heaven
is there a high quality leak of this floating around?
Underoath Define the Great Line

4.0 excellent
A Wilhelm Scream Career Suicide
Alexisonfire Dog's Blood
This was awesome, for realz. They extended their song structures and added in an element of post-rock on songs like vex.
Amorphis Silent Waters
Anberlin Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place
forget the negative hype, Anberlin has crafted an album with a subtly darker atmosphere leaving behind some of the filler happy go lucky tracks on new surrender.
Arghoslent Hornets of the Pogrom
Bayside Killing Time
album is catchy as hell, and is probably among their most consistent (i.e a step-up from the hit-or-miss shudder). Title Track, Mona Lisa, and It's Not A Bad little War are some of their best songs
Becoming The Archetype Terminate Damnation
Becoming The Archetype Dichotomy
Bomb the Music Industry! To Leave or Die in Long Island
Bomb the Music Industry! Scrambles
Bridge and Tunnel East/West
Bright Eyes The People's Key
most solid Oberst material to come out in quite awhile
Coheed and Cambria Year of the Black Rainbow
Darkest Hour The Eternal Return
Deafheaven Sunbather
a little summery black metal to go along with that little something in your lemonade
dredg El Cielo
Envy Recitation
pretty sweet, but the vocals sound kind of shitty. They do a good job switching between the post-rock and screamo dynamic, and also mix slower ambient songs with more upbeat tracks like "rain clouds...". definitely one of the best screamo outings of 2010.
Hop Along Get Disowned
Immortal Technique Revolutionary Volume 2
In Flames Come Clarity
Make Do and Mend End Measured Mile
Manchester Orchestra Cope
Bump this in your car at full blast, and tell me that you don't have an erection.
Metallica Metallica
Modest Mouse This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About
Protest the Hero Fortress
Protest the Hero Volition
Mist is the kind of song I have been waiting for this band to make for years
Rebuke Wouldworks
Regina Spektor Far
Rise Against Appeal to Reason
Scar Symmetry Holographic Universe
State Radio Us Against the Crown
Strike Anywhere Dead FM
Strike Anywhere Iron Front
Taking Back Sunday Live from Orensanz
The Antlers Familiars
on repeated listens this record does exactly what the Antlers have always done best - create the perfect atmospheres - and punishing them for not being mind blowing is unfair
The Flashbulb Soundtrack to a Vacant Life
The Riot Before Fists Buried In Pockets
The Roots Game Theory
Thrice Beggars
Tidal Arms The Sun Exploding
Very impressive for a debut album, Tidal arms are able to create many different types of soundscapes and come across sounding somewhat like Thrice, but a lot darker
Two Gallants Two Gallants

3.5 great
5ive Hesperus
Bomb the Music Industry! Album Minus Band
Bomb the Music Industry! Get Warmer
Coalesce 0:12 Revolution in Just Listening

Modest Mouse Good News for People Who Love Bad News
Modest Mouse We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
Okkervil River The Stage Names
Okkervil River The Stand Ins
Only Crime Virulence
Pulling Teeth Paranoid Delusions/Paradise Illusions
Rise Against Endgame
halfway through and first listen, may eventually go up, some good moments but seems pretty stale
Strike Anywhere Change Is a Sound
Strike Anywhere Exit English
Strike Anywhere To Live in Discontent
The Mars Volta Octahedron
The Roots Rising Down

3.0 good
A Skylit Drive Wires...and the Concept of Breathing
A Skylit Drive Identity on Fire

Anaal Nathrakh In the Constellation of the Black Widow
Dream Theater Black Clouds and Silver Linings
Fall Out Boy Folie a Deux
In Flames A Sense of Purpose
Lights Out Asia Eyes Like Brontide
Only Crime To The Nines
Sufjan Stevens The Age of Adz
sounds like electro-poop, sounds like electro-poop, sounds like electro-poop
The Gathering The West Pole

2.5 average
Alesana Where Myth Fades to Legend
Devin Townsend Project Addicted
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
My Chemical Romance Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
some decent songs, some really shitty ones. a letdown from black parade and three cheers
Paramore Riot!
i ahte all of the hype this generic as hell album has generated, but hayley williams is a really good singer. There is nothing on this album that isnt catchy, but there also isnt anything remotely interesting.

2.0 poor
After the Burial Rareform
Aiden Conviction
Aiden Knives
Bring Me the Horizon Count Your Blessings
Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows D.R.U.G.S.
this album is one of the most annoying things I have ever listened to, even if I didnt have a sex life i don't give a fuck about Craig's affairs with other dudes
dredg Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy
a disjointed mess of a pop record that noone expected Dredg to make, and you know what, I kind of dig it.
The Locust New Erections
We The Kings We The Kings
you guys have to be kidding me, this album is so generic it makes me want to gag.

1.5 very poor
Mudvayne The New Game

1.0 awful
