There's really not much I can say about my favorite album of all-time that wont sound too fanboysih. Stunning mix of punk and hardcore with a little 80's thrash thrown in there. Not to mention, these guys are the best live act out there right now. IoS from start to finish kicks you in the nuts and doesnt life it's foot until you hear "you've got to play it again." Ok Dustin, I will play it again.

4.5 superb

Coheed and Cambria Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV...
I've been a fan of Coheed for a few years now, and got this album when it came out in 2005, but I got a few other cd's at the time and never really gave it the chance it deserved. I listened to Welcome Home, and Willing Well 4, but just skimmed over the rest of the songs and didn't give them much attention. BIG MISTAKE! Now, the 4 Willing Well songs are some of my favorite songs off of any cd. "Run little Maggots!" "The curves of your body!!" "Tonight, I'm Burning Star IV!" The constantly changing styles, moods, and tempos of these 4 songs are definately the highlight of the cd for me.

Incubus The Morning View Sessions (DVD)
Incubus Fungus Amongus
Isis Panopticon
This album just keeps getting better and better for me. I'm totally taken aback every time I hear "So Did We," and I think 5 out of the 7 songs give me chills. This was the band that got me into post-rock/metal of any kind. I got to see Isis last night in Houston, and I'm going tonight to Baton Rouge to see them...can't wait. When they broke into "Backlit" I almost hit my head on the ceiling I jumped so high. I'd give this album a 5 rating, but Sputnik says that only 10% of my albums can be a 5...so i guess i gotta bump one out...or go rate some crappy ones.

Ok, I cheated and downloaded it...even with the Vagrant watermark, I'm floored. Just when you think you've got these guys pegged as one thing, they go on and evolve on you. Circles is the best song on this album by far. Awesome, awesome layering of sounds, usage of unique chords and great vocals by Dustin.
Another classic.
The question is, where could they possibly go from here??
