This is really obnoxious, but I love it. It feels like his weird experimental influences and his ability to write massive bangers have finally converged. His best solo album yet IMO.

where the fuck did they pull this from? Other than the pretty weak 'Show Yourself', this is classic Crack The Skye-esque Mastodon. However this time they've managed to combine the not-so-subtle cheesy D&D/fantasy vibes from their last album or two with some music that isn't total shit.

Boris does a little bit of everything at once, and comes across a tad too scatterbrained and indecisive. Still, some good tunes on here, although this is definitely best enjoyed separately rather than as a whole.

Boris Attention Please
Genesis Selling England by the Pound
Kendrick Lamar DAMN.
Probably the most frustrating album I've ever
listened to. A couple of really strong tracks
(DNA, DUCKWORTH, HUMBLE), packed out with
shitty Drake rip-off tracks. I hope all the
double album theories are right because it
really feels like he's fucking with us here.
Royal Blood Typhoons
On first listen I am whelmed. I'm a bit of a Royal
Blood apologist, mainly because they're fantastic
live and I don't have any issue with their
simplistic style. Other than a couple of the
singles,
I'm not getting much out of this, and even the best
tracks aren't wonderful. Hard to wrap my head around
how this took them 4 years.

1.5 very poor
