Overall, it's a pretty good album. However, I was very surprised when Will dropped a 2004 Dan Boeckner Wolf Parade demo he found on Soundcloud onto the album as "Life Worth Missing". I'm not sure if that's legal.

Wolf Parade Expo 86
Wolf Parade Thin Mind
Album is now available for streaming for Subpop preorders. You can find the link if you know where to look around. rSpun it a few times and I'll give my overall impressions:rThin Mind ends up as a pretty striking change in the band's overall sound coming from the mature Cry Cry Cry, but it works. With the absence of Dante DeCaro, it sounds closer to both Apologies and the 2016 self-titled EP than expected, but Wolf Parade works great as a tight three piece. If you didn't like them, this won't change your mind, but Thin Mind is a strong throwback to Apologies era WP. If you dug the band's earlier material, definitely check this out.rHighlights: Julia Take Your Man Home, Out Of Control, and Forest Green.

The Ninth Hour is an entertaining listen with some great highlights (White Pearl, Black Oceans Pt. II being the strongest of the bunch).

If you're a big fan of the band you will probably rate this higher than I have. It's not the best album in Sonata Arctica's discography, but it's the strongest they have released since Unia.
