The drumming is fantastic and while most of the songs just keep towing the line from front to end, one has to admit that the pace is not unrelenting. I agree with opinions that believe this fits within a subgenre-paradigm shift. Really good use of electronic/synths that develop both atmosphere and leading/rhythmic parts. Tom's vocals, in my opinion, surpass his work with Chelsea Grin and Lorna Shore. Some parallels with vocal performance and formula between Darko and Lorna Shore, but I think Darko is much more listenable, current, and to the point. |
