The only reason I haven't listened to it more is because I was sleeping. I should have listened to it in my sleep. The album is consistently beautiful and haunting from beginning to end. The lyrics are simple and emotionally resonant. The whole thing is so stark and painfully real. Everything works together to create a feeling of desperation and ultimate loneliness. I listened to the album once and bought the vinyl because I knew that I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't have it in physical form. More artists need to learn this form of composition: finding the essence of one's own music and stripping everything else away. Beautiful, painful, and perfect.
