City of Caterpillar City of Caterpillar
The best post-rock/emo/screamo combination album there is. The emotion packed into this thing is extreme, it took a while to grow on me, but the vocals, the drums, the guitars, everything here is perfect, not to mention depressing. Just like I like it. Plus, A Little Change Could Go A Long Ways is like the best song ever.
Cloudkicker Let Yourself Be Huge
My happy album. When I need happy, I come to this album, and it comes through. I used to listen to this album once a day, until I got sick and tired of it. I've listened to it probably 2 times since then. It is still as amazing as it was the first time I heard it. This album is inner peace. This album is tranquility.
Code Orange Kids Love Is Love // Return To Dust
Converge Jane Doe
A lot of people claim this album to be "overrated" just to have some sense of self-importance that they don't believe what the masses of sputnik believe. This album is fucking amazing. One of the greatest metalcore/hardcore albums of all time, with an amazing concept, amazing lyrics and vocals from my hero Jacob Bannon, and stellar guitar, bass, and drum work. But really, just listen for yourself to this thing, and you'll see why it is held in such high regards. Shit is badass.
Converge You Fail Me
My favorite album by perhaps my favorite band. Converge's most emotional piece, and combining together everything I love about Converge along with an extra dash of melancholy and outrage, turns out to be everything I could ask for in album, not to mention the amount of energy and rage packed into this thing, oh my god. If I had a dollar for each time I turned on this album and thrashed around the room until I was dripping with sweat, I would be able to buy this album. Not like I don't already own it. But I would buy it again, because that's how good it is.
Dance Gavin Dance Happiness
Dance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle Mountain
I have probably listened to this album more than any other album ever. How I feel about this album is exactly how Channing Freeman feels about The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me. I don't know what is used to mean to me, and I don't know what it means to me now. The connections are just there.
Dance Gavin Dance Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean
A raw, emotional, and unique debut from a post-hardcore colossus. Furthermore, this is Jonny Craig at his best. I can't think of anything bad to say about this album, it shines just as bright as Downtown Battle Mountain, the flame just doesn't burn as long, this being only 6 real songs. This is something that might not strike you on your first listen, but this is a certain gem among a band's discography filled with diamonds. The only real problem I can see people having with this is some people could find it less accessible than DBM, due to the imperfect production and Mess' raspy screams, but in the end that's what really makes this album so exceptional.

Explosions in the Sky The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
My old soundoff for this album sucked. Basically, this is simply the most therapeutic album that exists for me. It has helped me through some shit, and I have an extremely strong connection to it. I truly do not care how musically simple it is, I absolutely love everything about this album and how it moves me.

Jeromes Dream Seeing Means More Than Safety
Experimentally successful, emotionally extreme, and instrumentally impressive and original, this album is the best thing Jeromes Dream has ever released. The lyrics on this album are some of my favorite lyrics of all time, along with I.V. and The Heat Death of the Universe. This album is the perfection of screamo.
Jeromes Dream Split
Jeromes Dream/Usurp Synapse An Aspirin, An X-Ray
Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains Love Songs For The Apocalypse
Oh how I love this album. I'm not too big of a fan of folk punk, but this album is the soundtrack to my life. So beautiful, amazing lyrics, just everything about this album is perfect. I cannot say how much I love this album.
Kesha Animal
Lil B 05 Fuck Em
Loma Prieta I.V.
"Children's letters to god obviously go unanswered. Kidnapped kids don't come home alive. My friend vanished when we were 12. I still miss her. It's with me everyday. I'll always be the child that can't sign the pardon. It's with me everyday. I promise to stay close to the memory. Life offers no answers."
Merchant Ships For Cameron
I discovered this album in an extremely emotional moment of my life. I was practically accepting suicide, and by the second as I was listening to this, I felt more and more compelled to die. Not from the album itself, but from other things that were happening as I listened to it. Actually, if I have any album to credit with "saving my life" this would be it. After I finished the album I went to the bathroom and cried for 20 minutes. I was 15 minutes late for class. My teacher wasn't happy, and neither was I. For different reasons of course. I continued to listen to this album solely along with Teen Suicide's I Will Be My Own Hell, and developed an extremely strong connection to both.
Mogwai 4 Satin
Best piece of music Mogwai have ever released. And that's saying a lot.
Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Indie-rock folk whatever perfection. The music is just playing chords and notes and singing, and it's not too complex or anything, but the raw beauty and emotion Jeff has put into this work of art is simply astounding.
Off Minor The Heat Death of the Universe
Yes, I didn't quite "get" this album at first. But it certainly grew on me. Jamie Behar of Saetia along with whoever the fuck plays drums and bass have created an album that has already been described perfectly as "emotional hardcore perfection." Who you are is not a function of where you are.
Orchid Orchid
Orchid Dance Tonight! Revolution Tomorrow!
Orchid Chaos Is Me
This is probably my favorite album of all time. Jayson Green, Will Killingsworth, whoever the amazing drummer is, and the bassist guy created Chaos Is Me, undoubtedly the most influential screamo album of all time. There is a reason for all the praise of this band, their music is raw, emotionally engaging, and badass. The energy that is present in their music is astounding, and this is the release where they showed everyone just what screamo should be. And it has shaped the genre ever since.
Orchid/Jeromes Dream Split
Pg. 99 Document #7
This album is a fucking mess. A beautiful mess. Punk rock should mean freedom, and this is album is truly as sloppy as Pg. 99 gets, and as emotionally unstable as they become. This is what screamo is all about, ladies and gentlemen. In my opinion this album is far better than any other Pg. 99 album, and criminally underrated. A Sonnet To Both Ugly And Murderous reaches a level of emotional catharsis that most bands cannot dream of creating.

Kman has already said all there is to say about this album. It is so fucking enjoyable though, like I just absolutely love all the songs on this album, and the perfect thing about it is how it's appropriate for any circumstance. A party, being depressed, being high, being drunk, doing nothing, just this album fits everything. It is so fucking fun, I just love love love this album with all my heart.
