Very meh. tone and supercompression doesn't make up for how uninspired Gnosis is. In the future, please don't make this quasi-genre as trope-filled as anime.
Looks like Cloudkicker is taking his music in the direction a la chilled-out groovey instrumental rock. Problem is, his unorthodox riffage was what made for such an immersive/atmospheric experience in the first place. I mean I can appreciate low-octane, as long is it's not boring. Most of this is kind of boring. Standouts are the quiet but busy Garage Show and Our Crazy Night (I guess). Going back to Beacons now, laterz.
England Keep My Bones
not only is the production inspiring, Megan James's almost twee vocals and melancholy-
strange-visceral lyrics fit perfectly with the slow pulse of head-nodding bass-synth. This

Visually, it is sanguine death becoming achingly
beautiful when witnessed in slow-motion.

with bland instrumentality for the most part. "Leading Me Now," "Little Brother" and
"Criminals" stand out as nostalgic whiffs of his past melodic creativity in what is
otherwise a long strand of exchangeable if light finger picking listlessness. Matsson's
lyrics, however, are as sharp as always; but they don't pack nearly as many punches as in
his debut, not only because he keeps his volume and pitch relatively cons
