U2
U2 Go Home: Live From Slane Castle
By far one of the best live performances of all time. U2 fan or not you can't deny just how epic their transition from All I want is You to Streets is.

The Good, The Bad and The Queen
The Good, The Bad & The Queen
Another great effort from Damon Albarn proving to the world he doesn't need Blur. When I first heard he was creating a group that consisted of Paul Simonon and Tony Allen and Simon Tong I was very excited because I respected all of those musicians immensely (particularly Simonon and Allen).
The album itself is like classical pop really, very good stuff. Simonon's basslines were solid as always. Allen had good rythm on the drums. Guitar riffs were decent I guess. Albarn's vocals were solid as always. Especially in Nature Springs (and I loved the harmonizing backing vocals in there too). And watch out for the whole band to go nuts, parti

Jay-Z
The Blueprint 3
Decent CD. Not bad, by all means. And certainly enjoyable. Please I urge you to stay away from the song with Kanye, "Hate". It's a complete auto-tuned mess with some forgettable verses.
In fact most of the CD has forgettable verses. "On to the Next One (ft. Swizz Beats)" definitely contains Jay's best verses and flow on the album for sure. Very entertaining song. Also Mr. Hudson's cover of Forever Young was decent, his voice was spot-on though. Reminded me of young Sting. And Jay's verses in there are quite good aswell.
I take it you all have heard Run this Town and DOA already. All other songs I haven't mentioned are fairly for

Raekwon
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt II
Holy smokes, this album killed. And to think I was losing faith in the Wu because of their recent releases. Best of their albums since Supreme Clientele (Ghostface).

Maps
We Can Create
Very enjoyable CD. You can tell James Chapman (Maps) was heavily inspired by shoegaze music. Spacey and dreamy when you listen to the songs. I really enjoyed this CD and thought it should have won the mercury prize that year. Don't Fear, Elouise and To the Sky are the standout tracks.

Muse
The Resistance
This crap is so obnoxious it would make Freddie Mercury blush. In fact, I think I'm going to go listen to Queen right now. Muse used to have the obvious influence in them, but that's all it was. Now it's just evolved into full on ripoff. Similar to Coldplay echoing U2 with Viva La Vida (which was at least more enjoyable than this crap). Skip this crap and just watch them live. At least that's still good.
