If there is one Clash compilation that's really worth having, this is it. Clash on Broadway (titled after the unsuccessful Don Letts short film) is as career-spanning as your're gonna find. 3 discs, 63 songs, including live cuts, hidden b-sides, alternate versions, demos, and even unreleased tracks (including the heartfelt Guy Stevens tribute 'Midnight To Stevens'), this is the real deal. Containing all their well-known songs and fan favorites, it can be enjoyed by newcomers and completists. A compilation as diverse only as The Clash's sound, it wins as the best Clash comp out there. But yeah, its pretty expensive, so don't rush to get it if you owns the bands entire discography.
