It's a good metal album for sure but after the incredible Beyond the Gate I hoped for
something much more "WOW"-inducing. The old vocalist fit the band a bit better. They seem to
have upped the heaviness but reduced the catchiness, which isn't what I hoped. I am
disappointed, hopefully it will grow on me. The instrumentals are good, yet a bit short this
time around, and "Repeat" is a badass song.
This album is a huge change in all-around sound for Wretched, yet I personally enjoyed it. It is more of a Black Metal type of record. The new vocalist seems to have higher screams. I am not a fan of his lows, but he does an ok job. The intro is a creepy church song and it goes into a straight Black Metal song. most of the songs were pretty boring though and the instrumentals were super short compared to their previous efforts. One of them sounds like Exodus of autonomy and the other one goes into an acoustic break like Aberration pt. 1. Exodus of Autonomy is still my most favorite album.
only 1 or 2 good songs on here plus the instrumentals which dont live up to the ones off their previous albums. new vocalist does not fit the band. huge disapointment.
