Totally love it, but also totally understand that a lot of people will probably find it "meh". Certainly a must listen if you enjoyed Austra's Feel It Break
Trust makes synth pop with a decidedly love-it-or-hate-it kind of sound. I would describe their aesthetic as goth trance, and if that sounds horrifically awful to you - and no judgement here - take comfort that they can at least crank out a killer single or two. Yes, there's practically no diversity of instrumentation. Yes, I can barely understand a word he's saying. And yes, this album could easily be 15 minutes shorter. But in spite of all of this record's flaws I still enjoy it. It is absolutely unabashedly itself, and it provides enough of a germ of an idea for me to want to see more from this duo.
One of the most unique and successful sounds I've heard in a while. Never heard a good comparison to this band yet.The album really is a grower and I "trust" even bigger things are coming! :P
Reminiscent of 90's Coldwave, Toronto-based group Trust are a breath of fresh air in the Canadian electronic community. Robert Alfons has distinct vocals that strangely add to the catchiness of the band's creepy and dark music.
