Paradise Lost have definitely found their sound since In Requiem. However, while being a solid listen, this album does not stand out to me as much as the previous two. Nothing has really caught my attention in 4 listens I've given it so far, minus a few decent solos. The lyrics and vocals for some reason just don't seem as powerful.

An absolute masterpiece. This album has grown so much on me....In the beginning, i didn't like it and i thought it is boring...but the new album of Paradise Lost is a masterpiece with killer songs like the title track, solitary one,crucify, to the darkness, honesty in death and fear of the impending hell....THEY DID IT AGAIN!

Paradise Lost have finally completed their transition away from the electro-rock influences and have also embraced a bit of their past. This should definitely appeal to those people that still wish for another “Icon” or “Draconian Times”. It’s heavy, doomy, metal.
