| 1.5 very poor | C.F. | March 24th 12 | Another Post-Hardcore band that uses way too many effects in order to hide their ineffectuality.

| 4.5 superb | MattTheSkylines | March 12th 12 | Falls just barely short of perfection due to the fact that it blends too much together. Don't get me wrong, blending is a good thing and an album should be cohesive, but I think the production made it falter a little bit. These guys are great musicians but the production doesnt amplify their talents, it rather masks them. The vocals are top notch and easily some of the best in the genre, but the music is good too. I think the next time around they should focus a little more of the guitars.

| 3.0 good | Supertramp | March 25th 12 | There's just something about that Rise Records production that really kills this album for me. The vocals are great for the majority of the album, but the whole mesh doesn't achieve anything above a solid album. Nothing extraordinary, nothing relentlessly disappointing.

| 4.5 superb | GreyShadow | April 10th 13 | This isn't a 4.5, but it is a gorgeous release. Not every track is fantastic, but the one's that are, really are. I hope they don't lose their charm with the next release. 4.2/5 Best Tracks: The Sower, This Ain't No Place For Animals, Lion Skin

| 5.0 classic | MtDelicious | March 5th 13 | Superb lyrics, next an amazing singer in Trenton, really makes this album a winner for Hands Like Houses. Phenomenal debut that really captures the scene as a whole

| 3.5 great | bwiese | February 24th 13 | Ground Dweller is not your typical post- hardcore album; the band is one of only a few in the genre to only use clean vocals. Some fans of the genre may argue that without the screams, the potential to show emotion through their songs drops, but it is quite the opposite. Vocalist Trenton Woodley shows his talent and great range, notably in This Ain't No Place For Animals, Lion Skin, and One Hundred. Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire, Tyler Carter from Issues, and Johnny Craig currently with Emarosa all make cameos and fit great with the band's sound. The rest of the band's use of catchy choruses, guitar riffs, and perfectly- fitting keyboard parts along with upbeat drum fills give this band a unique and experimental view. It's not that it has never been done before, but they are putting their own mark on the genre and certainly changing it up a bit. This band has real talent. My only complaint is that the songs are easy to blend together and interchange. Each does somewhat have its own feel, but it is easy to confuse them. Overall though, this is a very solid album and these guys are certainly making a name for themselves.

| 3.5 great | pepster50 | December 13th 12 | I would probably enjoy this album much more if it wasn't for the production. All these amazing sounds I hear but they are all muddled. Fuck you Chango. Still the music is amazing. Best song is Lion Skin.

| 4.5 superb | jackalope11 | March 12th 12 | Such a beautiful display of nearly every component of the band. A well flowing album with an immense amount of talent being put to use in all the right places. Good lyrical content, which thankfully doesn't tackle the same virtual subject over and over again. The only thing, in my opinion, that saves this from a 5 is really the production.rI am so fucking sick of Cameron Mizell.
